UPDATE: "Bing the cherry head spends his days out on his playstand, except when he's busy in his foraging box, sifting through looking for his treasured seeds. It was a battle, but Bing has finally made the transition to pellets. His feathers have started growing back and his colors, since he's been eating a better diet, are vibrant and beautiful. He loves the routine of the household and his place among the flock of the other five conures. Our house is not a quiet one, but filled with lots of parrot laughter, dancing and, of course, squawking!" My name is Bing and I'd love to croon you a love song. You see, I've been looking for love in all the wrong places. After I took a tour around Sacramento, I flew into the Petco parking lot and no one there appreciated my conure singing enough to take me home. Fortunately, a Mickaboo volunteer happened to stop by the store that day to get supplies for her foster birds ... and here I am! I can step up, when I'm in the right mood. Now that I've done my traveling and have a nice cozy cage, I'm a little territorial about leaving it, but I can be bribed with food. I especially love to sit on your arm and be fed baby food. I do love music, and it doesn't take much to get me to boogy down with you! And I'm trying real hard to learn how to talk, and try to repeat everything you say, but it sounds a little scratchy. As you can see I did a little plucking when I got nervous out in the world, but with all the good food I've been eating, there's little tufts starting to grow back. So if you're looking for a handsome redhead, I'd love to go home and make beautiful music with you!
