Meet a cockatoo with a difference. I'm Corky, a bare-eyed cockatoo. I was purchased 7 years ago as a baby. Unfortunately, I bit my owner (just once) and was not let out of my cage again. Now I'm living with a man who takes me out and can pet me all over. (His wife is not quite brave enough to take me out but can pet me through the cage.) The problem is that I'm "'too" noisy for their neighbors. I'm a healthy guy and in good feather. I've never had my wings trimmed. Bare-eyed cockatoos are known as pretty good talkers, for cockatoos, and I say "what's happening" and "good night, Corky." When you cover me for the night, I would like you to say "good night, Corky" back to me. Bare-eyed cockatoos have a reputation for being very smart, very active and a bit quirky. If that sounds like you, come give me the eye!
