Angel desperately seeks guardian! A little backwards, I know, but even we angels need some help now and againÖand before Mickaboo found me, I needed quite a lot of it. A lady happened to find me, a sweet and tame male Umbrella cockatoo, in a tiny cage in the trunk of a manís car. The man told her that I was for sale because he was moving, and his asking price was $200. The lady had $168 in her pocketbook, and the deal was closed. Once she got me home and settled, she noticed that I was kind of stinky, emaciated and lethargic, and that I had a 6-inch cloacal prolapse covered in feces. She called Mickaboo, and they whisked me off to the doctor, who ran a whole bunch of tests and discovered that I also had lead and zinc poisoning! I tell ya, some of us guys have all the luck. But thanks to Mickaboo, I had successful prolapse surgery, got a remedy for my poisonings, and am on the way to a healthy weight. I feel great and have turned out to be an incorrigible snuggler, friendly to all and always up for a cuddleÖand a loud squawk. (I am a cockatoo, after all!) If youíre interested in adopting me, Mickaboo asks that you visit www.mytoos.com so that you can make an informed decision. If youíre still interested after that, let ëem know, and maybe I can be your little Angel. After all, Iíve got the wings for it! UPDATE: I went home with Narcy! I will also get to help my new caregiver teach people how special birds are. My caregiver thinks I am special, too! He says I am so sweet that he is going to allow children (respectful children!) to hold and love me when we go to schools to teach these youngsters about my avian compadres. Thank you, Mickaboo, for taking me from the back of a van and bringing me here. Notice: Due to the notoriously difficult nature of cockatoos, Mickaboo prefers that cockatoos not be a households' first parrot.
