Here I go -- off into the wild blue yonder! I am a beautiful young cockatiel girl who loves company -- people and other birds. I'm very tame and friendly and very very chatty. Someone clipped me that probably wasn't very experienced -- the clipped some feathers waaaay too short, but left some too long. So I flew away because I am a bird, and that's what birds do. I ended up in a shelter stressed so badly they thought I was sick and sent me to a vet. That's where Mickaboo came in -- they take in sick and abandoned birds and find them homes. I'll get a little more of a wing trim before I go to my new home, though. My foster mom is hoping some of the short inner feathers grow out a little more so I can use my wings to keep from falling, but then I'll have the flight feathers trimmed. 'Cause once I get a good new home where I'm safe and happy, Mickaboo wants me to stay there! Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
