UPDATE 10/20/07 It's amazing what a few months in a loving foster home will do! I've become quite the social bird, and I love nothing more than to spend time with you. I LOVE scritches and will return the favor by trying to preen you. If you're a couch potato type, I will gladly keep you company and I won't hog the remote...I promise! If you like to putter around the house, I will quietly sit on your shoulder and enjoy the ride. I'm rather charming and friendly, if I do say so myself. And don't forget cute! Since I spent most of my life roaming the wild neighborhoods of San Francisco, I'm not really crazy about spending time in my cage. And even though I don't complain as much as I used to, I would prefer a home where I can be out as much as possible. I have a rather healthy diet, too. I love my Harrison's pellets, fruits, and veggies....and of course the occasional cashew or pistachio. If you have Comcast, be sure to watch in November. My friend Patty and I are TV stars! And most importantly, if you think I might be the right addition to your family, please call today! Hello! My name is Jasper and I am one of the famed "Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill" but I'm now a Mickaboo bird because I have come down with the neurological illness that affects some members of the flock. I was found in San Francisco, unable to perch or fly, and a wonderful Mickaboo volunteer rushed out to rescue me and take me to a vet. I'm not as sick as some of the flock are when found, but I am taking it easy for now and working at getting better.
