Some folk say you are born with a silver spoon in your mouth if you're born to a privileged life. I must have been born with a silver peanut because I have had a great life. My mom loved me a lot and treated me very well. She cooked special foods for me, and I had a nice cage and lots of toys. My mom's world revolved around me. And now circumstances are going to put thousands and thousands of miles between us. It just won't work for me to go with her far away to another country. In my old world she called me "Baby", but now I have a new name Luci and a new life. I'm a beautiful green amazon lady with blue feathers above my mischievous eyes. I have a great vocabulary and can carry on a conversation with you, the telephone or all by myself. I like TV and radio music, enjoy long relaxing showers alone or a deux, a tiny taste of what you might be eating (as long as its safe for me) and an early bedtime, with you tucking the covers in around my cage. I'm a really good eater - I eat healthy pellets and just about any kind of fruit and most veggies. My new foster mom is thinking about starting an American Idol contest for birds because I can really carry a tune. I may not know all the words, but I know the music! If I sound like your kind of bird, perhaps we could make beautiful music together.
