UPDATE: Kiwi continues to warm our hearts and bring us smiles every day. We simply have never met another bird quite like her. She's affectionate, vibrant, and makes adorable noises (kisses, whistles, and the like). She's very eager to try new food and loves fresh vegetables, fruits, and Harrison's pellets. In addition to attention and yummy food, her other passion is bathing. She's the bathing queen, and absolutely loves to splash around in the kitchen sink with a refreshing stream of water running over her head. This could very well be the most adorable thing a ringneck could do, and it's the highlight of our day.

If you have a place in your heart and home for a lively and sweet green gal, give the kind folks at Mickaboo a call! Grmphel. Urbglmp. Oh, excuse me. Have my beak full there. Ahem. My name is Kiwi and boy do I like fruit! Oh, you noticed. Yes, well. I am a beautiful ringneck parakeet ladybird. I am tame and gentle and an interesting intellectual (I don't believe in that old stereotype that the beautiful have to be brainless!). I have been much loved and show it in my behavior. My long time home had to give me up for reasons I prefer not to dwell on, but I would be very happy to settle into a new home that will be mine forever. I can't promise not to try to talk with my beak full, but it's a small idiosyncracy for such a lovely companion, don't you think?
